This week at Pulling Together saw the end of of our A-Z of Faiths and Festivals project. Members of the community came along to see the finished tapestry and scrapbook that goes along side the tapestry. Those who worked on the project and those who came for the evening all agreed it was a very informative and helped us understand the faiths of people who we live alongside in the community. Pulling Together would like to thank The Community Fund for their continued support.

This week the group went out on day trip to York. Luckily the weather was much better than our last trip out to Edinburgh.  We caught the morning train and got into York and this was the first trip to York for many of the members. After a short walk around the city, we all went on a boat tour and saw the city from the River Ouse , this  included a wonderful commentary about the history of York. Later in the day the group went to York Minster and a smaller local church as part of our current project.

This week the group went on an overnight trip to Edinburgh as part of the Relationship Realities project. The trip included a visit to Edinburgh Castle to learn more about Mary Queen of Scots and the relationship she had with her cousin Queen Elizabeth I and a bus tour of the city.

Pulling Together would like to thank Charlie for driving us to Scotland and bringing us home safely. The staff at Cowgate Hostel and Paul the driver of the Red tour bus and all the extra information he gave us especially about Harry Potter, this was enjoyed by us all.
