This week at Pulling Together we said goodbye to 2020 with a midweek session. Seeing the end of this very difficult year has been very hard and all our hopes are that the next year is better. We are continuing with our Rites of Passage project and have enjoyed listening to members stories of key moments in our lives.
This week at Pulling Together we have continued with our Rites of Passage project and produced some of our first images for our fabric book. Talking during each of the sessions is a wonderful way to learn about each of our family traditions and look into rites of passages of other cultures.

This week at Pulling Together we shared out some food bags to all of our members as part of our end of project event. The bags included a copy of our Covid 19 comic that everyone had helped to design.

This week at Pulling Together we have started our latest project Rites of Passage funded by Trafford Partnership through their Neighbourhood Inclusive Grant. Through our Zoom meeting we discussed different Rites of Passage in the main religions. By the end of the project we will hope to have created a textile that displays the traditions that are part of each community.
This week at Pulling Together we have finished our current project- Covid-19 Comicstrip . Thank you to the Coronavirus Community Support Fund which was distributed by the Government via the national Lottery Fund. Their support means that we can continue with our weekly Zoom sessions through this difficult time. Thank you to all the members of Pulling Together for all their hard work in producing the Comicstrip.
An online version of our Covid -19 Comicstrip can be found here:
We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed producing it.

Choosing the final stories and layouts have helped all the members with their editing and designing skills.

This week at Pulling Together we have completed our comicstrip made by the funding from Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisations. We have used our ComicLife software to adapt the comic to match all our previous editions. It will now be taken to the printers to make copies that can be sent to members and leave in the Limelight Centre when it reopens.
A pdf version of the OT Comicstrip is available here:
This week we have completed the story of our comicstrip and worked on the dialogue and then adding all of the scenes that were needed.
